Big Sky Ski Resort

Big Sky Ski Resort , located in the Rocky Mountains in Big Sky in the province of Montana in the United States of America , is a major ski resort of the country.

The ski resort has a rich history and heritage and still attracts a lot of skiers. It was opened in the month of December in 1973 and was purchased by the Boyne USA Resorts in 1976. The ski resort of Big Sky is at an elevation of 6,800 feet at its base. The summit is at a height of 11,150 feet.

The ski area of the Big Sky Ski Resort provides 3,600 acres of area for skiing. There are as many as 150 ski slopes inside the resort. They are linked with one another with the help of a network of ski lifts. There are 18 lifts which operate across the ski resort from an altitude of 6,798 feet to 11,171 feet. The ski trails of the Big Sky Ski Resort are designed specially for the beginner, intermediate and expert skiers. There is also a ski school in the resort. The ski hiring facilities are also available.

The Big Sky Ski Resort has hotels and apartments which provide cozy accommodations for the visitors. The ski resort has come a long way since when it was started and is still developing to book a place among the important resorts of the country.
