Bear Valley is conveniently located between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite in the Sierra Nevada Range on Highway4. The resort is easily reachable from all parts of Northern California . There are ample conveyances available from Sacramento and Lake Tahoe to the ski resort.
Skiing in Bear Valley ski resort is exhilarating. Skiing terrain in the resort is spread over 1,280 acres with 100 ski slopes. Vertical drop in the resort records 1,900 feet while the summit elevation is 8,500 feet. The longest run in the resort is three miles. Forty percent of ski runs are suitable for intermediate skiers while thirty-five percent are suitable for expert skiers. There are total ten ski lifts in the resort, which carry skiers to the ski area. Ski season in Bear Valley spans from November to April.
