Alyeska is a quiet and uncrowded ski area located south of Anchorage in the Alaska region of the United States of America.

Alyeska ski resort provides the perfect Alaska experience for its visitors. The huge snowfall that it receives every year, along with the attractive trails, make it an ideal destination for die-hard skiers.

Alyeska receives an unbelievable 782 inches of snowfall every year. Naturally, it provides the visitors with a thick carpet of snow, which opens up more than 1000 acres of ski area. The 68 trails that are served by nine lifts are wonderful for intermediate and expert skiers.

The winter season is long and stretches from mid-November to mid-April. For lodging in Alyeska, there are a number of deluxe hotels and lodges that should advisably be booked in advance. Anchorage also offers lodging facilities to the visitors, from where the resort is 64 kilometer away. The best way to get to Alyeska ski resort is to take a flight to the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and then proceed.
