Caviahue

The beautiful Caviahue ski resort is located a t the base of the Copahue Volcano along the shores of homonymous lake in Argentina .

In the heart of the Andes Mountain Range , the ski resort lies at an altitude of 1647 meter above sea level. The presence of monkey puzzled forests, basalt cascades and terraces, colored lagoons and the hot water springs have gifted this area an ethereal beauty. Skiers of all calibers can easily ply here without much difficulty. The ideal time to visit this place is between mid-June and September. The ski area of Caviahue homes four lifts consisting of two surface lifts, one T-bar and one double chair, which serve seven ski runs. The vertical drop of the resort measures 410 meter, with the top and the base elevations being 2095 meter and 1685 meter above sea level respectively. The Caviahue ski resort encompasses ski runs of the total length of 120 kilometers. This place resembles a giant of small stature with steep features at the top and hills at the base.
