Mont Dore is a spa-town in the central part of France and was formerly known as Mont-Dore-les-Bains . It is also an important French ski resort and offers world class skiing conditions.
The Mont Dore Ski Resort has as many as 32 slopes within the ski area. These are connected with one another with the help of 20 ski lifts. These ski lifts include 17 drag lifts, one chair lift and two cable cars and bubbles. The ski resort also has an arrangement for creating artificial snow with 22 snow cannons placed inside. Apart from Alpine skiing and cross country skiing, the ski resort at Mont Dore also has a snowpark for the entertainment of the visitors. There is a snow school and ski hiring facilities are also available.
The Mont Dore Ski Resort is a winter ski resort with its season ranging from the month of December till April. There are a number of accommodation facilities available in the resort. There are many Belle Epoque style hotels which offer comfortable stay at a reasonable price. All these make the stay and skiing experience at the Mont Dore Ski Resort memorable.
