Luz Ardiden




Luz Ardiden ski resort is situated in the south-west province close to the Spanish border. It is situated at an altitude of 2,240m. This resort is an ideal one, which suits to the tastes of the intermediate skiers.
Luz Ardiden is a great place for cross country skiing and snow-boarding. Thirty three downhill slopes cover around 60km area with eight runs divided equally among the beginners and experts. The remaining 25 are for the advanced and the intermediate skiers.

In the Luz Ardiden ski resort there are 19 ski lifts including 13 surface lifts, one six sitter and five chairlifts. There is the provision for “Ticket Toy” at the resort, which gives access to other ski areas and 60 lifts. There is also a ski area for children. The ski season at Luz Ardiden continues from November to April. Special offers are also available during the Christmas holidays, in mid January and from mid March to the season’s end. The “Ticket Toy” offers the privilege of skiing in the areas of Gavarine Gedre, Bareges and Luz-Saint Sauveur skiing circus.

The resort of Luz-Saint-Sauveur is situated 15km south east of the Luz Ardiden ski resort. This place is good for sight seeing and life is also very pleasant. Variety of accommodation is available starting from apartments to four star hotels. The nightlife is also something, which the tourists can really enjoy in the discs, pubs and casinos. Bars and restaurants are also available in plenty.
