Isola 2000 is a purpose-built ski resort in France . Though the resort has ‘2000' in its name, it does not have to do anything with the year.
Isola 2000 ski resort can be reached conveniently. Located in the Mercantour area in the Southern Alps region, the resort can be accessed from Nice Airport. The airport is just within two hours drive from the resort. With good driving conditions, the resort seems to be at a stone's throw.
Ski areas in Isola 2000 are large with good, well-maintained slopes and runs. The resort is itself 1500 meters above sea-level. The pistes are above 2500 meters in the resort. There are 47 slopes with total piste length of 120 kilometers. Twenty-four ski lifts are operational in Isola 2000 ski resort to transfer tourists to the ski area. More than 50 percent of the slopes are suitable for beginners followed by intermediate and expert skiers. Ski season in the resort is pretty long spanning from December to May.
Comfortable and affordable accommodation facilities are available in several hotels, chalets, rented apartments and guesthouses in the resort. Other facilities provided by Isola 2000 include restaurants, cafes, bars, nightclubs, ski rentals and various shops.
