Flaine




Flaine is a fantastic skiing destination that boasts of wonderful skiing conditions and remarkable snow records.

It is a purpose-built resort. The ski resort is a favorite hub of British skiers and also an excellent ski holiday destination for families. It is also called as ‘White Desert' for the thick snow cover that the resort has during winter. The resort is divided into three levels- Flaine Forum, Flaine Foret and Flaine Front de Neige.

Flaine is situated within the Le Grand Massif area, which is the fourth largest ski domain in France . Reaching the resort is not a problem at all. There are three major airports, train stations and motorways from where the resort can be easily accessed via cars or shuttle buses.

There are total of 126 runs and 51 slopes in Flaine , out of which 65 runs are suitable for beginners, 49 for intermediates and 12 for advanced skiers. The longest run is 14 kilometers and the piste length measures to 265 kilometers. The ski slopes are accessed by 77 ski lifts in the form of gondolas, cable cars and chairlifts. Ski season in Flaine ski resort spans from December to April.

Accommodation in Flaine can be sought in various hotels-both big and small, chalets, apartments and clubs. Other facilities offered by the resort are restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping centers, crèche, ski rentals, swimming pool, fitness center, sauna and solarium. Activities, other than skiing include ice-skating, snowshoeing, paragliding and wall climbing in Flaine .
