Tarnaby ski resort has gained popularity over the years. It has been associated to Hemavan and together it is popularly called Tarnaby-Hemavan ski resort. Tarnaby is located at a distance of merely 90 minutes from Arlanda International Airport. Hemavan is the nearest airport to the ski resort at a distance of only one kilometer. There are 31 kilometers of Nordic tracks in Tarnaby, out of which 10 kilometers are illuminated. There are 11 ski lifts provided by the resort to reach the ski area. Ski season in the resort spans from November to May. Accommodation in Tarnaby ski resort is arranged in various cabins, hotels, camping sites, chalets and rented apartments. Other activities, which are entertained at the resort, include snowmobiling, heli-skiing, bowling, cross-carting, pole jumping and dog-sledging.
