Sierra Nevada Grenada is the southern-most ski resort in Europe near the Spanish city of Granada . The resort, not being very far from the sea, experiences more sunshine than any other ski resorts of Europe.
The skiing season in the Sierra Nevada Grenada Ski Resort runs from late November to early March. The resort is quite popular among the tourists for the high quality of snow it provides. The fun is enhanced by the production of snow by the snow cannons also. The 61 kilometers of ski slopes with 45 pistes and 6 off-piste routes is served by five ski lifts, twelve chair lifts and two cable cars. Unlike many other European ski resorts , the Sierra Nevada Grenada Ski Resort has night skiing facilities down a few lighted slopes. All the necessary skiing equipments can be hired on a daily basis. The resort staged the Alpine World Ski Championship in 1996.
