Salen

Salen ski resort in Sweden is considered to be the largest ski domain in Europe encompassing four huge ski areas.

Salen ski resort is located 400 kilometers away from Stockholm. From there, a domestic flight, train, bus or a car can be taken to the ski resort. Most of the tourists take a connecting flight to Mora, about 90 kilometers from Salen and are taken to the resort by a bus or a car. There are 145 kilometers of pistes and 160 runs for skiers. There are around 100 ski lifts to take the skiers to the ski area. Skiers of all levels can enjoy skiing in Salen ski resort . Ski season in the resort runs from mid-November to end-April. Several hotels, apartments and cottages are available for accommodation. There are many restaurants, bars, cafes and discos in Salen where entertainment can be obtained by tourists. Other activities in the resort include dog-sledging, horse sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, snow-scooter safari and paragliding.
