Obersaxen

Obersaxen is a large ski resort in Switzerland , which is gaining popularity with passing time and making a place for itself among other ski resorts in the country.

The resort is located amidst immense greenery and beautiful landscape features. Situated at an altitude of 1,200 meters above sea-level, the resort has the Oberalp Pass to its west, Brigels on one side and magnificent Toedi behind it. All sorts of facilities and amenities are being provided by Obersaxen ski resort and so, it is becoming famous among skiers. The ski resort is not very often frequented and is away from large crowds.

Obersaxen can be reached from Zurich International Airport either by train service that is quite frequent or by a hired car. The resort can also be accessed from other international terminals.

There are several well prepared slopes in Obersaxen ski resort that attract skiers from all over the world. There are 120 kilometers of downhill pistes with 35 kilometers cross-country trails. There are 20 ski lifts in the form of surface draglifts and chairlifts that are operational to carry tourists from the resort to the ski area. The slopes and runs in the resort are mostly suitable for intermediate skiers. Ski season in Obersaxen spans from end-December to beginning of April.
