Elm , a municipality, is located in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland on the lap of the Swiss Alps. The place is popular among the tourists as a major ski resort of the country.

The resort is situated at an altitude of 1,000 metres. It has a total piste length of 35 kilometers. Besides, there are also 8 kilometers of cross country trails. These are appropriately designed to separately cater the needs of the beginner, intermediate and expert skiers. Snowboarding is another sport which is hosted by the resort during the winter.

The whole ski area of the Elm Ski Resort has as many as 12 ski runs. They are interconnected by seven ski lifts of which five are drag lifts, one chair lift and one cable car or bubble. The lifts can carry the skiers from a height of 1,000 metres to as high as 2,100 metres. There are five snow cannons in the resort to ensure snow even in case of a lack of snowfall.

The Elm Ski Resort has its skiing season from the month of December to April. During this time, the hotels and apartments of the resort experience a mad rush of skiers and visitors. The Elm Ski Resort has become quite popular in the recent days. It has now curved a niche for itself among the favorite resort list of the skiers from all around the world.
