Bjelolasica

Bjelolasica is located near Karlovac and is easily accessible by car, bus or train from Zagreb. The Olympic Center is also based at Bjelolasica . There are eight pistes in the resort and the highest summit reaches up to 1385 meters. The vertical drop is 767 meters. Six ski lifts are used to mount to the highest summit of Bjelolasica ski resort . There are three chair lifts and three surface lifts in the resort, use of gondolas and cable cars are not prominent in the resort. Snowfall is not even in Bjelolasica and as a result, the resort also has to take help of artificial snow for snowboarding, cross-country skiing and ski lessons. Slope side accommodation is available in Bjelolasica but there are no bars and restaurants in the area. The resort has an enigmatic charm and attracts tourists all the year round.
