Anzere is one of the most beautiful villages in Switzerland , located in the canton of Valais on the right bank of the Rhone Alps.
The village of Anzere was given the shape of a ski resort in the 1960s. The resort is situated at an altitude of 1,423 metres and rises as high as 2,500 metres. The total length of the piste is 40 kilometers and there is 15 kilometers of area allotted for cross country skiing. There are two ski schools inside the resort from where skiers can learn fundamentals of the sport. The Anzere Ski Resort also provides ski and other equipments hiring facility necessary before taking the slopes. There is also provision for playing a few other sports. The Anzere Ski Resort has a number of amenities like the gym, swimming pool and paragliding for its visitors.
One of the best accommodation facilities in Anzere is provided by the Anzere holiday ski apartment. There is also a 7500-bed accommodation available on the slopes of the resort. Besides, a few apartments and hotels can also be chosen for lodging at a walking distance from the resort.
