Alto Campoo

Alto Campoo Ski Resort , one of the biggest in the Cantabrian mountains, is situated near the town of Reinosa . The highest peak of the region, Cuchillon is about 2250 meters high.

It has a vertical drop of about 600 meters. The resort has its name from its location in the Cantabrian Redolada of Campoo in Spain . The source of the Ebro river is near the Alto Campoo Ski Resort . Alto Campoo is easily accessible from all the major Spanish cities. The resort has emerged as one of the popular family holiday destinations of the country.

The Alto Campoo resort is chiefly meant for amateurs and intermediates. The resort has 23 pistes of different difficulties. There are four slopes for beginners, nine easy ones and ten for intermediates. The total length of the ski trail at the resort is about 28 kilometers. The pistes are supported by a total of 13 lifts, five of which are chair lifts and eight ski tows.

The Alto Campoo S ki Resort provides many additional facilities apart from skiing. All the necessary equipments needed for skiing are available at the ski hiring store of the resort. Tourists can refresh themselves at the two restaurants of the resort. Worried parents have the choice to leave their children in the kindergarten. Children can also have fun in the snow garden specially designed for them .
