Marmot Basin



Marmot Basin is a ski area located in the Jasper National Park in Alberta, Canada . The resort offers excellent condition for various types of skiing and also a few other snow sports.
It is situated at an altitude of 1,697 metres above the sea level and elevates up to 2,612 metres at its top. The resort has a vertical drop of 3,000 metres. It was first opened in 1961 and at that time, it had only a rope tow driven by a truck engine. From there, the Marmot Basin Ski Resort has come a long way.

The Marmot Basin Ski Resort has 84 ski runs. These are specially made for separate uses by the beginner, intermediate, advanced and expert skiers. The resort provides 1,675 acres of area for skiing. The whole area is interconnected by a set of nine ski lifts.
