Zawoja

Zawoja is a village located in Southern Poland and is in close proximity to Makow Podhalanski. Since the early 19 th century, Zawoja is considered as one of the most important mountain and ski resort in Poland .

The resort is also close to the mountain range of Babia Gora . As is evident from the location of the ski resort, the scenic beauty of the resort and its surrounding area is awe-inspiring. The resort is also well–known for its wooden architecture and folk culture of the highlanders of Babia Gora . Zawoja ski resort has a typically traditional flavor.

Zawoja is a ski resort based on the foothills of Babia Gora Mountains, which is the highest peak in the Beskidy range. There are eight great ski slopes and skiing terrains for skiers and snowboarders. Almost all ski resorts in Poland including Zawoja provide excellent conditions for downhill skiing while in some places the resorts offer tracks for cross-country skiing and ski touring. The skiing season has good quality snow cover for skiers. Zawoja does not boast of very high quality and advanced accommodation services and facilities but their hospitality, tradition and their typical highlander-style cuisine are the primary attractions of Zawoja ski resort .
