Charlotte Pass


Charlotte Pass , located in New South Wales of Australia, is the highest alpine village of Australia at a height of 1,760 metres above sea level.

It has been named after Charlotte Adams , a young adventurous girl who made a trip to Mt. Kosciuszko in 1881. The resort remains covered in snow most of the months of the year and serves as a year long spot for skiing. The resort provides separate skiing areas for beginners, intermediates and the advanced skiers. A large portion of the trails remain groomed for excellent skiing and it is sometimes also regarded as the most intimate ski resort of Australia . The resort is served by five ski lifts and has about 60 hectares of skiing area.

The tourists and skiers have many options for lodging while they visit Charlotte Pass . There is the famous and historical Kosciusko Chalet which is also regarded as the birthplace of Australia's modern skiing.
