Singapore Communications Company is based in Singapore with the head quarters in Hong Kong. The main business is in PABX systems, security systems VOIP solutions and AIDC solutions. Having established an excellent reputation in this industry for the past 30 years, Singapore Communications Company was appointed as the sole distributor of LG's business telephone system in Singapore.

Singapore Communications Equipment CoPte Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of a Hong Kong Listed Group, HKC International Holding Ltd, was established in 1975. It is now one of the leading distributors for telecommunications, enterprise mobility, security products in Singapore.

Singapore Communications Equipment Company has also been appointed as distribution channels in the region for leading IT products and services. On 17th June 2004, they have been officially appointed as the sole distributor for LG business telephone system. They are also in close partnership with Symbol, Alien Technologies, Intermec, SUN Microsystems, Synometrics, JVC and Securex and Vidonet as an established Systems Integrator and Systems Maintenance Service Provider. Singapore Communications is well positioned to provide our customers with world class consultations and solutions without the big bill attached.

Singapore Communications is a highly developed sector with good infrastructure, and includes state-of-the-art telecommunication devices like telephone, computer, copiers, internet, broadband, television, radio and many more. Until 1998, it has been recorded that there were about 55 million telephone connections in Singapore. Out of the 55 million connections 47 million were used by other telecommunication devices like computers and facsimile machines. Singapore's world-class telecommunication services are the reason for the underwater telephone cables which have been built that leads to Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.

Local calls from public phones cost 10c for three minutes, with the exception of Changi Airport's free courtesy phones. International calls can be made from all public card phones. Otherwise, use a credit-card phone. If you want to email someone, you'll have no problem in Singapore. Cybercafés are sprouting up across the island for a selection of the most central ones.
