The House of Representatives is the national legislature of Sierra Leone. 124 members occupy the positions of the assembly. Majority of the members are elected for 4-year terms. A High Court, an Appeals Court and a Supreme Court form the judiciary of Siera Leone. Ernest Bai Koroma is the current state head of the African republic.

Culture and Heritage
Dancing is a major component of the culture and heritage of Sierra Leone. The Sierra Leone Dance Troupe has a global niche for its performance. Different ethnic communities of the country possess indigenous dance forms. The dancers wear various types of wooden masks. Ethnic and French influences have enriched music of Sierra Leone. Palm wine is both a favorite beverage and a musical form (maringa) of the country. Gumbe and afro-pop are some other popular musical genres of the country.
