Serbia music culture is the trademark of the
cultural heritage of the Serbian people who are famous a part of the Balkan race. The Balkan race comprising of Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Croatia and Romania are known for their vigorous dancing and musical excellency. The influence of some other Balkan countries is clear. The
music and dance of the Serbians go hand in hand. Even Serbia comprises many different subgroups. They differ in their dressing style, certain traditions and most importantly all of them have their own folklore music.
The Serbians use the indigenous musical instrument Gusle or the Gusla which is long lute with one or sometimes two strings. The Gusle strings are made from hair of horses and mares.The users of the instrument, called Guslars use this instrument mostly while narrating epic stories in the form of songs.
