Prime Minister of Serbia

Serbia Prime Minister is vested with important responsibilities and according to the Constitution of Serbia; the Prime Minister should take all the important decisions within the Government.

Role and Power of the Serbia Prime Minister The Prime Minister of Serbia exercises the highest amount of authority and also plays a very important role. The Prime Minister has the important responsibility to look after all the important Governmental tasks and has to manage and properly coordinate all the important activities within the Government.

All the important decision within the government is to be made with the consent of the Prime Minister. A person is referred to the National Assembly by the President to be elected as the Prime Minister.

Vojislav Kostunica The present Prime Minister of Serbia is Vojislav Kostunica, who was elected in the position on 3rd of March, 2004 following the parliamentary election, which was held on 28th of December, 2003.
He was born in Belgrade in 1944 and did his graduation from the University of Belgrade. He initially worked in Belgrade institute of Social Sciences and later also did his research from the Institute of Philosophy and Social theory.

His Political career started when he founded the Democratic Party in 1989. He became the president of Yugoslavia and remained so till 2003.
