Serbia Government

The present Serbia Government was elected on the 15th of May, 2007 and is a coalition government, which is made of three liberal parties, Serbian Democratic Party, G17 Party and the Democratic Party.

This new Government of Serbia is marked by a deep split the pro-nationalist parties, who want self-rule and pro western parties. The present President of Serbia is Boris Tadic.

Legislature of Serbia Government The Legislature of Serbia is unicameral by its nature. This Unicameral Legislature of Serbia consists of 250 members who are elected for a term of four years.

These members of the legislature elect the Government. The legislature of the Serbia Government is headed by the Prime Minister and the present Prime Minister of Serbia is Vojislav Kostunica.
Member of Serbia Government Some of the important members of the Serbia Government are Mladjan Dinkic, Velimir Ilic, Vojislav Brajovic, Vojislav Brajovic, Zoran Loncar, Rasim Ljajic and Aleksandra Smiljanic.

Importance of Serbia Government Although the Government of Serbia is newly formed, it has taken a number of important measures in order to ensure peace and order in the country. On 19th of July, 2007, Serbia Government adopted an important bill, which confirmed the decision of amending and accessing the Central European Free Trade Agreement. Again, the Government is also taking important measures to solve the Kisovo-Metohija issue.
