A Serbia riot in the city of Pristina took place as a result of the protests posed by the Ethnic Albaninas against the proposal of U.N on Kosovo, which was reported to have not made any effort in supporting the independence of the province. The whole ruckus took many lives and injured many. The police tried to pacify the protesting mob with rubber bullets and tear gas.
A ruckus of Serbia riot that took place in Belgrade on October 14, where the limelight was on the football fans rather than on the football stars. The Football fans were reported to have rioted in "Maracana" stadium in Belgrade. The whole attack on the fans of the opposite team destroyed public property worth millions of rupees. The game of Yugoslav football first division match between Red Star and Partizan was abandoned in the middle. The police came into action effectively.
On the 4th of November in the year 2000,the prisoners of the three major prisons in Serbia rioted against the appalling and the unhygienic condition in which the inmates were kept. The main motto of this Serbia Riot was to question the efficiency of the Serbian jail administration. It was also demanded that the Serbs who were jailed for certain criminal offenses be included in a law amnesty that would agree to free the Kosovo Albenians from the Serb jails.
These Serbia riots in prisons first started in the prisons of Sremska Mitrovica and Niš and then started spreading on to the closer prisons.
