Serbia went through a gruesome cleansing process when the Albanians were ousted from the country. At this juncture, the US and the NATO interfered and the Bombing of Serbia took place. This was to stop the genocide in Kosovo in the name of 'ethnic cleansing'. The gruesome genocide and mass killings in Kosovo shattered the peace of the country as well as the world. The question as to what might stop this gruesomeness in the face of humanity became a standing issue. The pandemonium of killing and blood shed had led to a hue and cry in all the peace loving nations of the world.
The people who were mostly effected by the mass murder were the women and the children. As always seen, it is the mass that has nothing to do with violence and crime suffer the most.
The United States of America with its Bombing of Serbia government, had expected that the latter would buckle under the pressure. The US government was supported by the NATO and was also backed by the KLA forces or the Kosovo liberation Army. It was expected that the Serbian Government would back down under the pressure and accept the Kosovan autonomy.
The Bombing of Serbia proved to be a boomerang and the Serbian government refused to back down. It, in turn launched a movement against the the KLA forces.
