Arran, also known as the Isle of Arran is in the Firth of Clyde located between Ayrshire and Kintyre. Arran boasts pretty villages, green hills, rugged mountainous and remarkable woodlands.

The standing stones on Machrie Moor, stone circle named Fingal's Cauldron and the Giant's Graves are famous archaeological sites of Arran. Arran is connected to the mainland of Scotland via ferries. Three ferry routes are from Brodick to Ardrossan, Lamlash to Holy Isle and from Lochranza to Claonaig. In summertime PS Waverley take regular cruises to Brodick. A841 is the main road running around the coast.
