- ½ tablespoon ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon saffron soaked in lemon juice
- Salt as per taste
Take the meat and make numerous cuts on it. Fill the cuts with the mixture of three cloves of garlic, cardamom and cinnamon. Now grind the mixture of remaining garlic, dried lemons, mixed spices and salt. Add the saffron soaked lemon juice to it and mix properly.
Add yogurt to the above mixture along with the remaining spices. Coat the meat with this mixture and keep it in the side for ½ an hour. Now take a pan and cover its bottom with foil. Pour in the oil, hot water and meat inside it. Cover the pan with the dough and place it on the oven for 2½ hours at 350 degree Celsius.
After the meat is cooked properly, remove the dough and put the pan back into the oven till the meat turns brown in color. Now take it out in a serving dish. Garnish it with French fries or boiled vegetables. One can also place it on a bed of rice or spaghetti and spread almonds and raisins on top. Fakhitha Fel Foarn is ready to serve.
