A map of the North American continent with topography and bathymetry as seen from space. It has international borders and a 15 ° latitude and longitude grid. This satellite view of North America is the most accurate and up to date such map available today. The land imagery is based on data collected by NASA's MODIS satellite instrumentation in August 2004. Ocean bathymetry is derived from the General Bathymetric Chart of the Oceans, 2003. Thousands of the continent's physical features such as the Grand Canyon, Arizona and the enormous Manicouagan crater in Quebec can be clearly identified.
