San Marinese Communist Refoundation (RCS) is one of the political parties of San Marino. In San Marino the party of
San Marinese Communist Refoundation is known as Rifondazione Comunista Sammarinese.
The formation of San Marinese Communist Refoundation happened in the year of 1992. RCS was formed after its breakup with old Communist Party of San Marino. When the old Communist Party of San Marino merged with the Party of Democrats, The leaders of San Marinese Communist Refoundation were not ready to merge with the Party of Democrats. Henceforth, a new party was formed in form of the San Marinese Communist Refoundation. The notable party leader of San Marinese Communist Refoundation is Ivan Foschi.
The Communist Refoundation Party of Italy has a major influence on the modeling of RCS. In the formation of the Party of the European Left, RCS played the role of a founding member. In the San Marino parliamentary election, RCS contests as a section of the United Left group. San Marinese Communist Refoundation has furthered its strength considerably in San Marino. Whereas in the 2001 San Marino parliamentary election RCS won 3.38% of the votes, it increased its vote percentage to 8.67% in the 2006 San Marino parliamentary election.
To reach its ideology and the course of political activities to the general citizens of San Marino, RCS brings out the magazine 'Rifondinforma'.
