Mulinuu Peninsula serves as the divider between the Apia Harbor in the east and the Vaiusu Bay in the west. The small peninsula of Mulinuu is however one of the major Samoa Attractions due to the concentration of a number of historical monuments in the area. The main road of the Mulinuu Peninsula is the Mulinuu road that runs through the whole of the peninsula.
The American, British and German Memorials form an important part of the historic sites of Mulinuu Peninsula. The first two are dedicated to the American and British soldiers who died during the 1889 disaster, one is built to commemorate the hoisting of the flag of Germany.
The Parliament of Samoa or the Fono is also located in the Mulinuu Peninsula. The historical building has an important part in the history of Samoa. The old parliament building is also in close proximity to the present seat of the parliament. The Independence Memorial also stands nearby on the Mulinuu Peninsula.
The Lands and Titles Court is also on the Mulinuu Peninsula. The Royal Tombs are the places where the paramount chiefs of past times have found eternal resting place. The remains Apia Observatory constructed by the Germans and destroyed by the disastrous hurricane are also there.
Mulinuu Peninsula is also the place of one of the luxurious hotels of Samoa, Hotel Kitano. This hotel offers its guests a lifetime experience of luxury and enjoyment. The hand made tiles of the place adorn the fales or traditional houses that make up the hotel. The restaurants and bars, pools and lobby and the central courtyard are attractive and beautiful.
