King of Samoa

The country of Samoa has come across with a number of Kings and dynasty through ages. The ancient history of the country bears the evidences of more than one thirty significant wars. It is widely known that the Islands of Samoa was first discovered by Jacob Rogeveen. The year of 1869 is marked for the incident, that Malietola Moli was crowned as the king. This incident was followed by a civil war and United States of America posted Col. A.B. Steinberger who ultimately became the major person of Samoan Government.

In this way a newly developed Constitution structure was acquired in the year of 1873 and a traditional kingdom was founded. It was decided that the kings for Samoa would be selected alternately from the two quarters of Tupua and Malietoa, each of the kings to be in power for four years.

In the very year of 1879, a treaty was decided between Samoa and Germany which is followed by another treaty between England and Samoa. The treaty assured Mietola Alavou would reign as a King of Samoa while Malietoa was assigned as the vice king.

This country of Samoa, which was once widely popular as the “Navigator's Islands”, was in the beginning partitioned between the US and Germany. For the duration of World War I, New Zealand armed forces acquired the German islands. Western Samoa attained sovereignty in 1962, comprising a constitution based blend of parliamentary administration based on constitution as well as traditional and conventional Samoan rule. The well renowned Samoan King Malietoa Tanumafili II reigned from 1940 to May 2007 up to his death and was regarded as the oldest national head across the world.
