Samoa Geography



The term of Samoa Geography suggests the geographical attributes of Western Samoa. The country of Samoa is situated in Oceania. This archipelago is comprised with a cluster of islands in South Pacific Ocean. The location of the Samoan Islands suggests its position about half of the distance from the country of New Zealand to Hawaii.

Two major Islands as Savaii and Upolu comprise the Western Samoa together with a number of coral islands. The terrain of this country is originated from volcanic substance. Most part of the terra firma is rocky, stony and steep while the narrow shoreline consists of plain land. The islands are created from ranges of dead volcanoes, mounting to 6,094 ft. on Savaii island while 3,608 ft. on the island Upolu.
