The rainy season continues for a long time. Sometimes in hilly areas there is very mild snowfall.
The weather of Rwanda is an important factor in the development of its flora and fauna. There are dense green forests with different types of tropical trees and plants. There is variety of grass called Savannah that grows in Rwanda which is quite lofty. More than 100 species of orchids grow in Rwanda along with other flowers. The weather of Rwanda helps in the nesting of many birds. Almost 670 species of birds is found in Rwanda. The mild weather of Rwanda helps in the breeding of fish in many of its water bodies.
