Rwanda is not a very old nation and quite nascent regarding developing their infrastructure and education; but that segment is now given utmost importance since, Rwanda is aiming towards securing a respectable position in the world literacy chart. Thus, towards this end, the Ministry of Education of Rwanda is directing its energies and is developing lesson plans which would build a strong educational system in Rwanda. The new principles laid by the ministry of education are improvising on the existing Rwanda lesson plans and are making it suitable for implementing an updated educational curriculum. Certain criteria have been implemented so as to build enriching and modern Rwanda lesson plans.
The ministry has strictly stated that all factors determining Rwanda lesson plans should be rational and that a proper scholastic schedule should be followed in each school. The lessons should be pleasant yet, practical and informatory; which would teach students to help avoid the brutal history of the country's past. Primary and Secondary schools should have a vast array of options which would enable students to choose their subject of preference accordingly. Pre-school education has been rendered compulsory so that the primary school student will not be entirely new to the world of education. The student who leaves school should be equipped to at least read and write and must have the basic knowledge about numericals. The Rwanda lesson plans should be such that women learn to value their self-worth. Special emphasis is laid on valuing agricultural techniques. Emphasis is also laid on building Rwanda lesson plans which would focus on scientific technology so that the youth of the country have knowledge at par with their other global counterparts.
