In the true sense, the Russian National Anthem incorporates the spirit of nationalism among the residents of Russia and is meant for strengthening the bond between the Russians. As this national hymn is highly respected by the country people, it is able to enhance the fellow-feeling among the nationalities.
Alexander Alexandrov has composed the music of this Russian National Anthem. In the late 2000 the the anthem was adopted. G. El-Registan and Mikhalkov have written the lyrics that was approved by Joseph Stalin (a Soviet leader). There are some people who think that before approving this national hymn Stalin himself edited few portions of the lyrics.
In this context, it should be mentioned that the performers are given the choice to execute the hymn using only words or music, or a performer can use both of them. However, it is mandatory to perform using only the official music or lyrics. After recording this performance, it can be broadcasted in any of the television or radio programs. Mainly before starting and closing of programs the anthem is played.
However, during the holy occasions, sporting events and festive seasons also this hymn is played. There are some rituals that are followed while listening to the anthem. The people of Russia always remove their hats and people in uniform give military salute when the National Anthem of Russia is played.
