As there are plenty of ethnic groups, Russia is experiencing a hybrid culture. Here people belonging to different ethnic groups are showing their originality through the folk music. On the other hand, in the Soviet Era, the nation's music underwent several examinations and was confined within a restricted boundary. In this era several great personalities showed their artistic brilliance, among them some are David Oistrakh and Gidon Kremer, the violinists; Mstislav Rostropovich, the cellist; Galina Vishnevskaya, the vocalist; Emil Gilels and Sviatoslav Richter, the pianists and so on. Since a long time Russia is acquiring a huge fame for producing quality music.
