Russian Ballet is a unique dance form that was originated in Russia in the early part of 1700s. The first ballet school of Russia was founded in the year 1734, while during the 1740s the Imperial School of Ballet was set up in St. Petersburg. The ballet critics of Europe asserts that the Russian dance greatly influenced the West European ballet form.
In the early part of 20th century Sergey Diaghilev was considered to be the most noted personality in the field of Russian ballet.
