Russian Nano technology Corporation is a non profit establishment of Russia that was founded in order to carry on assuring nano projects in the country. Leonid Melamed, who is the chairman of Alemar Investment Financial Corporation became the chief of the Nano technology corporation in Russia. The supervising council's head is Andrei Fursenko, the Science and education Minister of Russia.
The Supervisory Board of Russian Nano technology Corporation is its eminent governing body. The members of this corporation are appointed by the government of Russia. The Russian President appoints its 5 members, State Duma appoints two officials, Federation council also appoints some officials, and the rest five are appointed by the government.
The supervising council consists of 13 members, which includes Russian Economic Development, German Gref ( Russian Trade minister), Anatoly Chubais, Mikhail Pogosyam, CEO of Unified Energy system, Vladimir Dmitriyev, Viktor Khristenko, Industry and Energy minister of Russia and Sukhoi Aircraft Military Complex's Director General.
The main function of Nano technology Corporation of Russia is to interact between business, government and scientists for implementing the state policy in nano industry and nano technology. It also provides financial and organizational assistance for nano projects and programs.
The first deputy Prime Minister, Sergei Ivanov announced that 200 billion rubles will be allocated for the development of nanotechnology till 2015.
Russian Nano technology Corporation plays an important role in uplifting the science and technology of Russian Federation.
