Russian Federation Science and Technology encompasses various organizations, which functions for the development of science and technology. Some of the agencies are Russian academy of sciences, Russian Federal Space Agency, Russian Geographical Society, Russian Nanotechnology Corporation, Russian National Standards, Russian Floating Nuclear Power Station, astronomical Observatories in Russia, Military Equipment of Russia, Polar Expression by Russia and Soviet Union, Membrane Science and Technology in Russia Federation and the Russian Space Program.
Russian Academy of Sciences is an autonomous, non commercial organization functioning according to the Russian Federation Charter legislation. It is the principal scientific institution of Russia.
Russian Federal Space Agency is another autonomous organization, which sees to the implementation of the space policy guidelines framed by the Russian Government. The organization also looks after the space related problems and is a member of the International Space Station.
Russian Geographical Society is one of the world's oldest organizations. It was established in the year 1845 in Russia and is stationed at St. Petersburg. The organization also has its branches spread all over the world.
Russian Nanotechnology Corporation sees to the implementation of the state policies in the field of nanotechnology and nano industry. It also financially supports programs and projects in the field of nanotechnology.
Russian National Standards are being formulated by the Russian Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology. Russian Floating Nuclear Stations are floating nuclear power stations, which are designed by the Russian Federal Atomic Energy Agency.
All these organizations contribute to develop the Russian science and technology. The Russian Federation Science and Technology is at par with the international standards with the contributions of the Russian organizations.
