Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin is the present Russian President. He occupies an important position in the government of Russian Federation. Putin was elected as the President of Russia in 2004 for the second time.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born on 1952 in Leningrad. He completed his graduation from Leningrad University in Law. He also possess a Ph. D. degree in economics. Putin worked in KGB once he completed graduation. He also worked in east Germany from the years 1985 to 1990. Putin was appointed as an assistant rector in Leningrad State University.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was made the chairman of International Relations Committee of St. Petersburg City Council in 1991. Prior to this, Putin also served as the advisor to the earlier chairman of the council. In a few years he also became the first Deputy Chairman of the St. Petersburg City Government.
In President's Administrative Directorate, Putin joined as the deputy head in 1996. In the following year, he was appointed as the deputy head in the department of Executive Office of the President. At the same time, he functioned as the head of the Central Supervision and Inspections Directorate.
The highest achievement in current Russian President's career is his appointment as the Prime Minister of Russian Federation in 1999. In 2000, he became the Russian President for the first time and in 2004 for a second time.
