Siberia



Siberia is a large area in the north eastern part of the Russian Federation and comprises a big portion of the Eurasian Steppe. In the east, Siberia is occupying the area in between the Pacific Ocean and the Ural Mountains, whereas in the south from the north-central part of Kazakhstan to the Arctic Ocean. It creates the border line for China as well as Mongolia. Siberia is covering a large area of Russian territory.

Siberia is mainly divided into 2 topographical zones, the Central Siberian Plateau and the West Siberian Plain. There is number of rivers and lakes that are flowing across Siberia. Some among them are as follows:
  • Kolyma River
  • Lake Baikal
  • Anabar River
  • Angara River
  • Lena River
On the other hand, the mountain ranges that are located in Siberia include Altay Mountains, Anadyr Range, Ural Mountains, Baikal Mountains and so on. Grasslands can also be found over here.

The climate of Siberia varies from time to time. It is said that most of the areas of Siberia experiences the continental subarctic climate. Trans-Siberian Railway is considered to be the best way to take a trip around Siberia.

There is a series of attractions in Siberia. Mainly they include lakes, rivers, beaches and so on.
