Established in 1724,the Russian Academy of Sciences works together with the Academy charter and the Russian Federation. It is a non commercial,civil and self governed organization. The main aim of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Russian Federation is to organize and perform the research work for making new inventions in the field of technological, economic and cultural developments. The organization is managed by RAS General Assembly. The general assembly holds its session once every year.
Activities of Russian Academy of Sciences
Russian Academy of Sciences gives assistance for the development and promotion of the scientific knowledge. It enhances the development of informational support to the various research work through its network of libraries. Russian Academy of Sciences is actively involved in the publishing activities. It produces some famous academic scientific journals to make people aware of the research works done by the different institutes. The Academy of Sciences in Russia promotes international co operation among the Russian scientists by making pacts with the foreign academies and various research institutes. The Academy promotes different scientific activities in various educational institutes. The Academy has a museum where various show pieces are kept and they play the role of solid foundation for contemporary scientific work.
