1999 Rugby World Cup Top Players

The fourth rugby World Cup was held in 1999, hosted by Wales along with Scotland, England, Ireland and France. Many top players participated in the 1999 rugby World Cup , the biggest rugby event of the world.

The competition was scheduled between 1 st October and 6 th November across the five host countries. Twenty teams competed against each other in the 1999 Rugby World Cup for the world champion title . In the final match, Australia beat France and became the winner of the World Cup for the second time.

In the 1999 Rugby World Cup , twenty teams consisting of around three hundred players competed against each other. Gonzalo Quesada of Argentina emerged as the top player during the event scoring 102 points. Jonah Lomu of New Zealand was the top try scorer, who scored eight tries during the competition. Tim Horan of Australia was regarded as the star of the tournament, who helped his team to win the world championship title by successfully breaking through the defense of the opponent teams. There were many other players, who became famous for their performance in the 1999 Rugby World Cup . some of them are Matt Burke of Australia , Jannie de Beer of South Africa, Andrew Mehrtens of New Zealand, Jonny Wilkinson of England, Christophe Lamaison of France, Silao Leaega of Samoa, Neil Jenkins of Wales , Paul Grayson of England, Richard Dourthe of France, Tony Brown of New Zealand, Diego Dominguez of Italy, Jeff Wilson of New Zealand , Ben Tune if Australia, Kevin Dalzell of the United States of America, Joost van der Westhuizen of South Africa, Diego Albanese of Argentina, Stephen Bachop of Samoa and Toutai Kefu of Australia. The excellent performance of the players made the 1999 Rugby World Cup an unforgettable event.
