Traditionally every rugby team in the world has two sets of shirts. They use their main jersey during their home matches and while they are on tour they wear a different set of shirts.
These shirts are generally of a lighter shade compared to their main ones. This choice of color largely depends on the color of the home team's shirt.
The teams wear the Rugby Shirt Tour during the match only. The teams use a variety of designs on their shirts. The design may be horizontal stripes, checks or plain solid color. All the shirts carry a logo in the front of the shirt. This logo can be anything, ranging from the mascot of the team to the logo of the sponsors of a team. Sometimes the shirts also carry logos of the tournament in which the team is playing.
All the shirts are numbered at the back. This is done so keeping in mind that it helps the spectators to identify the players easily. Some shirts also carry the names of the players. These shirts are very popular among the fans. They wear these shirts to the games, supporting their teams. Adidas, Nike, Front Row, Reebok, Gilbert, Canterbury and Guinness are some of the big names which manufacture these shirts.
