Derrick Grant is a former rugby player who was a regular member of the Scottish rugby union squad during the middle period of the 1960s. He played as a flanker and is still remembered as one of the best flankers to have ever played for the Scottish rugby union squad. He was born on the 19th of April in the year 1938 and nourished a dream of becoming a rugby player from his early days. He started taking training in rugby from the time he was still young. Derrick Grant’s efforts were rewarded when he was called in to join the Scottish rugby union squad in 1965.
9th January, 1965, is the day when Derrick Grant had his international debut in a match against France. He was a regular member of the squad since then. This rugby player had acquired as many as 14 international caps before he played his last international match. It also came against France on the 13th of January in the year 1968. Derrick Grant retired as one of the best flankers in world rugby during his time.
