Brian Moore is one of the most successful and popular players to have ever taken the field wearing the jersey of the England rugby union squad. Apart from the national squad, he had also played for a number of clubs in his rugby career. He is also popularly known as the “pit bull” on the rugby pitch for his tough style of play. Brian Moore played in the position of a hooker and is one of the most successful English rugby players to have played in that position.
Born on the 11th of January in 1962, Brian Moore made his international debut on the 4th of April, 1987, against Scotland as a hooker. Since then, he was a regular player in the English squad. He had achieved as many as 64 international caps playing for England before retiring on the 22nd of June, 1995, after appearing in a match against France. He was also a successful rugby player at the club level. Brian Moore is still remembered by all the rugby lovers as one of the best hookers England had during his time.
