Bill Young hails from Australia and is an important player in the Australian rugby union squad. He is one of the few rugby players who are playing for the national team as well as for the clubs with equal success. Born on the 4th of March in 1974, he started playing rugby from quite an early age. Bill Young was a regular player in the junior rugby squads of West Harbour and Eastwood. He had also played for the Australian under-21 squad before getting a place in the senior team.
Bill Young used to play in the position of prop. He made his debut for Australia in 2000 in a test match against the French rugby team. He also played club rugby for the Brumbies making his debut in the 1998 season. He was also a member of the 2003 Rugby World Cup team of Australia which had advanced to the final of the tournament and retired with 46 international caps and 100 caps for Brumbies. Bill Young is still regarded as one of the best players to have turned up for Australian rugby team.
