Bill Beaumont was one of the best rugby players England has ever produced. He played during the late 1970s and early 1980s and changed England from a weak rugby team to a formidable force of world rugby. He played international rugby for a span of only seven years. In this short period he left a mark deep enough to be included in the Rugby Hall of Fame. He played in the position of prop and was one of the best players in that position during his time.
Born in Lancashire on the 9th of March in 1952, Bill Beaumont went on to become one of the most successful captains the English rugby team has ever had. He made his international debut in a match against Ireland in 1975. Beaumont has acquired 34 caps playing for England and out of them, as many as 21 were as captain. He also has seven caps for the British Lions and is regarded as one of the best players to have ever played for England.
