Ben Tune is a significant member of the Australian rugby union squad who plays in the position of an outside centre. He started playing rugby at quite an early age and now plays at the international level. He started his career playing junior rugby for Brothers/Teachers North. He then played for GPS Rugby. Ben Tune was also in the Queensland Reds squad in the 1996 Super 12 season and made his debut against the Highlanders. He was called for the national side soon after this and played his first test match the same year against Wales.
Ben Tune is one of the most proficient wingers the rugby world has ever seen. He was a member and a successful player of the Australian national squad which won the Rugby World Cup at Wales in 1999. He is set to retire after the 2007 Super 14 Competition. However, he has expressed plans of continuing till the Rugby World Cup. Ben Tune is regarded as one of the best wingers Australia has ever produced and has also been honored by being included in the Wallaby Team of the Decade.
